USAStellantis is recalling 201,976 Jeep SUVs in the United States over a software fault that can leave the driver without a low tyre pressure warning. The campaign is NHTSA 26V559 and Stellantis 54D, and it was made public on 9 September.
What is wrong
A software error in the vehicle’s radio frequency hub can make the tyre pressure monitoring system lose its reference data. The system may then fail to detect low pressure or to light the warning. That leaves the vehicles non-compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138, which covers tyre pressure monitoring. Some reports describe the dashboard showing dashes in place of the placard pressure values.

The fix and what owners should do
Dealers will reprogram the radio frequency hub with updated software at no cost. No parts are replaced. Jeep owners receive letters from 29 September, in phases through 21 October 2026. Affected models and build dates vary, so a model year alone does not settle whether a vehicle is included. Owners can check a VIN on the NHTSA recalls site or call Stellantis customer service on 1-800-853-1403 and quote recall 54D. Jeep is part of Stellantis.
