Overview

Unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show on 27 April 2026 and on sale in China from 29 May, the AUDI E7X is built on the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), a 900V architecture developed by the SAIC-Volkswagen joint venture for the Chinese market. It measures 5,049 mm long on a 3,060 mm wheelbase.

Five trims run from ¥269,800 to ¥359,800 (about $40,000 to $53,300), which put the entry car 6.9 percent below its own pre-sale price. Two powertrains sit under them: a rear-wheel-drive 408 hp version with a 100 kWh battery, and an all-wheel-drive 680 hp version with a 109 kWh pack. Both are claimed to exceed 750 km of CLTC range, and the quattro reaches 100 km/h in 3.90 seconds. Batteries come from CATL. Every trim has double-wishbone front suspension.

The E7X replaces conventional door mirrors with camera display units and offers a retractable ceiling screen for rear passengers. Interior options include a Bose audio system with 26 speakers and a panoramic roof with adjustable transparency. Seating is available in four- or five-seat configurations.

Driver assistance comes from Momenta and runs at SAE Level 2, with a roadmap to Level 3. The car supports full OTA updates.

China only. Audi does not sell the E7X in Europe, though an independent importer has begun bringing cars in privately.

What is CLTC?

CLTC is the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, the range figure carmakers must quote in China. Its low average speed makes it the most optimistic of the major cycles.
