The Audi Q9 is the brand’s first full-size flagship SUV, sitting above the Q7 and Q8 in the lineup and measuring 5,309 mm long, making it larger than rivals in its class. It rides on a stretched version of Audi’s large-SUV platform and is built at the company’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia. Orders open from July 2026, with deliveries in Germany starting that November.

Powertrains. In Europe, the Q9 launches with a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, offered at 245 or 299 hp, driving through an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic and quattro all-wheel drive. The US market instead gets a 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 with 435 hp. A high-performance SQ9 joins the US range with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 599 hp.

Technology and interior. The cabin carries three displays across the dashboard, an air suspension system, and automatically operating doors. OLED tail lights and a panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency feature throughout the range, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 4D audio is available.

Pricing. German prices start at €108,400 (about $118,100) for the Q9. In the US, the Q9 starts from $87,700 and the SQ9 from $118,000.
