Overview

The Audi SQ9 is the performance flagship of the Q9 range, sold in the United States. Where the US Q9 uses a 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6, the SQ9 steps up to a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 591 hp and 800 Nm. Drive goes to all four wheels through quattro, with the same eight-speed Tiptronic automatic as the rest of the range.

It shares the Q9’s bodywork and cabin technology, including the three-screen dashboard, air suspension and switchable-opacity panoramic roof, with more aggressive bumpers and detailing marking it out as Audi’s S model. It was revealed alongside the standard Q9, with orders opening from July 2026 and a price starting from $118,000.
