ICE SUV Discontinued

TBA

Porsche's compact SUV and volume leader since 2014. Combustion production at Leipzig ends summer 2026 - ICE Macan still outsold the electric successor, with 10,130 of 18,209 Q1 2026 Macans being petrol-powered.

Overview

Porsche’s Macan compact SUV launched in 2013 and received its last facelift in 2021. Produced at the Leipzig plant. Removed from the EU market in 2024 when Porsche chose not to adapt it for the updated European cybersecurity regulations (UN R155); continued in other markets until production ends summer 2026.

The electric Macan, launched in 2024 on the PPE platform (shared with Audi), has not outsold the combustion version - 10,130 of 18,209 Macans sold in Q1 2026 were ICE.

A combustion successor on the PPC platform (Audi Q5 III underpinnings) is planned for 2028 under a different name.
