The eighth-generation 3 Series (G50) keeps an updated CLAR platform underneath, the architecture of the previous G20, and takes the Neue Klasse design language and cabin from the electric i3. It is 4,765 mm long on a 2,860 mm wheelbase, and every petrol engine has 48V mild-hybrid assistance.
Europe gets the 318 and 320 with a 2.0-litre turbo four, rated at 115 kW (156 PS) and 250 Nm and at 155 kW (211 PS) and 330 Nm, and the M350 xDrive with a 3.0-litre turbo six at 326 kW (443 PS) and 580 Nm. The M350 xDrive reaches 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The US range starts with the 330, a 255 hp four-cylinder, and the same six makes 437 hp in the M350 xDrive. The M350 xDrive adds Drift Moment, a mode that disconnects the front axle so the car drives through the rear wheels alone.
The cabin centres on a 17.9-inch central display, with BMW Panoramic Vision across the base of the windscreen and an optional 3D head-up display.
US pricing starts at $49,900 for the 330 and $51,900 for the 330 xDrive, with the M350 xDrive at $65,900. Prices exclude a $1,350 destination charge. Deliveries begin in the first quarter of 2027. BMW has not published European prices.
