The Racco is BYD’s first kei-class model, a battery-electric microvan aimed squarely at Japan’s tightly regulated kei segment. It was first shown in Tokyo in autumn 2025. Dimensions sit within kei limits at 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall, with front-wheel drive.
Two batteries are offered: a 20 kWh pack for 200 km of range, or a 30 kWh pack for 300 km. Prices will be announced on 28 July, alongside a BYD contest inviting buyers to guess the top trim’s price for a chance to win a Racco.
