The Defender 130 is the long-bodied version of the range and the only one that seats eight. It runs the 110’s 3,022 mm wheelbase and adds 340 mm of rear overhang, for 5,358 mm overall, which is where the third row of three seats goes. Width and height are unchanged at 2,008 mm and 1,970 mm, so the 130 is longer rather than bigger in every direction.
Seating is a 2+3+3 layout, with three abreast in both the second and third rows. Land Rover quotes 389 litres of loadspace behind the third row with all eight seats in use, 2,291 litres with the rear rows folded on the eight-seater, and up to 2,516 litres on the five-seat version. The Outbound is that five-seater sold as its own specification, with the third row removed and a full-length load floor in its place.
The engine range is narrower than the 110’s. The D350 diesel gives 350 PS (345 hp) and 700 Nm from a 3.0-litre straight-six with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, and the P380 petrol, new with the July 2026 update, gives 380 PS (375 hp) and 550 Nm from a 3.0-litre six of its own. The entry-level D250 and the 110’s plug-in hybrid are both absent here, which is why the 130 starts higher up the price list than the shorter cars. Drive is through an eight-speed automatic with high and low ranges to all four wheels.
Prices run from GBP 84,250 (~$115,400) for the X-Dynamic SE to GBP 104,440 (~$143,100) for the X and the Vertex specification, with the Outbound at GBP 85,810 (~$117,500). Wading depth is 900 mm, unchanged from the 90 and the 110.
