The Nissan Tekton is a compact crossover built for India and other emerging markets, sharing its platform with the India-market Renault Duster. It is produced at the Renault-Nissan plant in Chennai and takes over from the Nissan Terrano, the brand’s previous Duster-based SUV for the region.
Two turbocharged petrol engines are offered. The 1.0-litre unit makes 99 hp and 166 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual and front-wheel drive. The larger 1.3-litre turbo produces 163 PS (161 hp) and 280 Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic, also front-wheel drive only.
Styling draws on the Nissan Patrol, visible in the headlight and taillight graphics and a wide, upright front end. Base trims come with LED lighting, air conditioning, power windows, and an Arkamys audio system. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control, matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, and Arkamys Auditorium 3D sound.
The Tekton launched in India on July 9, 2026. Ex-showroom prices run from ₹10.49 lakh (~$10,900) for the 1.0-litre Visia to ₹16.49 lakh (~$17,200) for the 1.0-litre Tekna+, and from ₹14.99 lakh to ₹18.59 lakh (~$15,600–19,400) for the 1.3-litre versions, topped by the Tekna+ DCT.
