Production version of the 2023 ID.2all concept. VW’s cheapest EV: from €24,995 in Germany, undercutting the Renault 5 (from €25,990).

Three front-wheel drive variants on MEB+. The two entry variants (116 and 135 hp) use 37 kWh LFP for 329 km WLTP. The top variant (211 hp) steps up to 52 kWh NMC for 454 km - 8.7 kWh/100km, efficient for the class. All charge 10–80% in under 25 minutes on DC.

Boot is 441 litres. Physical buttons restored to steering wheel and door panels. Sales start summer 2026; UK pricing not yet announced.

Audi A2 e-tron: 649 km and €38,200 to start

Audi has posted the first hard numbers for its entry-level electric compact: four power levels from 125 kW to 240 kW, up to 649 km WLTP and a German list price from €38,200 (about $41,600). Production starts in Ingolstadt this autumn.

VW ID. Cross becomes the electric T-Cross

Volkswagen revealed the production ID. Cross, a compact electric crossover that works as an EV alternative to the T-Cross. It shares its MEB+ platform, motors and cabin with the ID. Polo, and goes on sale in Europe from autumn 2026 at around €28,000.
