Geely has revealed the Galaxy TT, a new electric sedan for its Galaxy sub-brand, in a set of official photos. It is a C-segment sports sedan that slots into the Galaxy line-up alongside the E8 and the Starshine 8 hybrid, with which it shares its body sides. The front and rear ends are its own. Full specifications and pricing are due shortly.
Platform and powertrain
The Galaxy TT sits on Geely’s GEA platform and uses an 800V electrical architecture with a CATL battery. Two drive configurations have been confirmed. The rear-wheel-drive car runs a single motor making 333 hp. The all-wheel-drive version adds a second motor for a combined 578 hp.
Battery and range figures are not yet official. Media reports point to three pack sizes - 52.4, 63.8 and 75.2 kWh - with a quoted range band of 540 to 725 km on China’s CLTC cycle. Those numbers should be treated as provisional until Geely confirms them.
Dimensions and design
The sedan measures 4,999 mm long and 1,919 mm wide, on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, riding on 18- or 19-inch wheels. That puts it just under five metres - a sizeable car for the segment.
The styling is the headline. The slim headlights echo the look of the Xiaomi SU7, and the car adds a sculpted bonnet, swollen front wings, more aggressive bumpers and a deployable rear spoiler. A LiDAR unit is mounted above the windscreen, feeding Geely’s G-ASD H7 advanced driver-assistance system.
Timing
Geely has not given a launch date or prices. Both are expected in the near term, after which the provisional battery and range figures should be replaced by official numbers.
