Jetour launched the Traveller 7 in China on 14 October. It is the updated version of the Jietu Lvxingzhe, or Traveller, the boxy SUV that export markets know as the Jetour T2. The range has eight versions: five petrol and three C-DM plug-in hybrids.

The Traveller and the T2

The Traveller went on sale in China in September 2023, and the T2 name covers the same car in most export markets. It anchors what Jetour calls its T-series of boxy, light off-road SUVs: the series reached 700,000 cumulative sales by the end of May 2026, and the T2 alone passed 500,000 global sales in 33 months, according to Jetour South Africa.

The Traveller 7 is 4,827 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall on a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Jetour has not said when, or whether, the export T2 picks up the update.

These are the guide prices. Jetour’s launch offer prices bring the petrol range down to 125,900-165,900 yuan (~$18,700–24,700) and the C-DM to 143,900-163,900 yuan (~$21,400–24,400). The 1.5T Exploration was added between pre-sale and launch as the new entry version.

Engines and the plug-in hybrid

The petrol versions use a 1.5-litre turbo with 135 kW and 290 Nm, or a 2.0-litre turbo with 187 kW and 390 Nm paired with Jetour’s XWD all-wheel drive. The C-DM combines a 115 kW 1.5-litre turbo with an electric motor and drives the front wheels only. It takes a CATL battery in two sizes, 26.61 kWh or 45.12 kWh, for an electric range of 140 to 251 km and a combined range of 1,400 km on China’s CLTC cycle.

A three-motor all-wheel-drive C-DM with 575 kW and 835 Nm is listed in maker data cited by the Chinese outlet Ach Auto, but it is not in the launch lineup, which leaves the Traveller 7’s hybrid without four-wheel drive for now. Some C-DM versions carry Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance; the petrol cars use Jetour’s own Falcon 500 system.
