UKLeapmotor registered 3,943 cars in the UK in September 2026, its best month since it launched there in March 2025, according to the company’s own release built on SMMT figures. That is up more than 700% on September 2025 and lifts its share of the new-car market to 1.1%. Leapmotor says it held a 1% share in every month of the third quarter.
The year to date
Registrations for January to September stand at 13,283, against 1,535 over the same nine months of 2025. By our arithmetic that is about 8.7 times last year’s total, and September alone supplied close to 30% of it. Leapmotor says 94% of its UK registrations so far this year are battery-electric, and that its retail network now has 93 locations. It has committed to more than 100 by the end of 2026.
The B10’s part
The Leapmotor B10 registered 1,883 cars in September, almost half of the brand’s total and the figure SMMT lists for the model. Leapmotor says that put it among the five best-selling electric cars in the UK that month, and second in the retail-only BEV ranking behind the Skoda Elroq. Both rankings are the company’s reading of the SMMT data, not SMMT’s own. The B10 is a single-trim, rear-wheel-drive SUV, and its UK price and specification are on its model page.
Global deliveries
Leapmotor delivered 105,656 vehicles worldwide in September, the third month in a row above 100,000, and a record 310,052 in the third quarter. Those are deliveries by the whole company, counted differently from UK registrations. Leapmotor International, which sells the cars outside China, is a joint venture with Stellantis holding 51% and Leapmotor 49%.
