Li Auto has revealed an updated version of the MEGA, the seven-seat electric MPV that sits at the top of its range. It costs less than the car it replaces and carries more hardware, which is not the usual direction for a mid-life update.

The range now consists of one trim. The MEGA Home lists at ¥509,800, about $75,840, which is ¥50,000 or roughly $7,400 below what the previous MEGA Home asked. Li Auto showed the car on 2 September 2026 and Chinese deliveries began the same week.

What the update adds

Lidar count goes from one to four. Along with it the MEGA picks up rear-wheel steering with up to 7 degrees of angle, steer-by-wire, and an active anti-roll bar running off an 800 V supply. Rear-wheel steering is the change a driver will notice first on a car this size: at 5,355 mm long on a 3,300 mm wheelbase, the MEGA is a vehicle that turns in car parks and side streets where a shorter turning circle is worth more than any performance figure.

Combined output from the two motors rises from 400 kW to 413 kW, which Li Auto quotes as 562 PS and which converts to about 554 hp. The battery is a 108 kWh CATL pack rated at up to 710 km on China’s CLTC cycle. CLTC is measured more gently than WLTP or EPA, so the number describes a Chinese homologation rather than a figure comparable with a European or American rating.

Inside

A 29-inch OLED display runs across the front of the cabin and a 21-inch screen serves the rear. The second-row seats swivel to face rearward, so the middle and third rows can be used as a facing pair, and the third row is heated and ventilated.

Right-hand drive

Li Auto says a right-hand-drive MEGA will follow before the end of 2026, for Hong Kong, Macau and other right-hand-drive markets. That is a narrower step than a European or American launch, neither of which the company has announced, but it is the first time the MEGA has been specified for sale outside mainland China.
