Maextro - the ultra-luxury brand formed by Huawei and JAC under the HIMA alliance - has published the first official images and a teaser for the V800, its second model and first minivan. The brand says a premiere is imminent. Until now its only product has been the S800 sedan, priced from ¥708,000.
A chauffeur-segment MPV
The V800 is a full-size minivan, 5,495 mm long and 2,006 mm wide on a 3,430 mm wheelbase. The front end is smooth and closed-off in the style of the S800 sedan, with projector headlights, vertical animated tail lights, and a lidar unit mounted above the windscreen.
Powertrain
It runs a plug-in hybrid system: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 173 hp serves as a generator, while two electric motors produce a combined 530 hp driving all four wheels. A 63.2 kWh battery gives 275 km of electric range on the WLTC cycle.
Interior
The cabin is arranged 2+2+3. Maextro has shown a touchscreen control panel for the second row, a panoramic roof with a “starry sky” lighting effect, fold-out tables and “crystal” lighting. A refrigerator and an entertainment screen are expected as standard. As on the S800, the driver-assistance system and electronics come entirely from Huawei.
