Mercedes-Benz India will launch the electric GLC on 4 November 2026 and assemble it locally at the company’s plant in Chakan, near Pune. Bookings open in October. Prices have not been announced.

The Indian launch comes about six months after European sales began. Autocar Professional calls it Mercedes’ fastest global model to reach India as a locally assembled car. European cars come from Bremen.

India starts with the GLC 400 4MATIC, the most powerful of the three European versions: two motors, all-wheel drive and 360 kW (483 hp). Mercedes has not said whether the cheaper GLC 250 and GLC 300 4MATIC will follow.
