Toyota Gazoo Racing has revealed the GRMN Corolla, the most extreme version of its GR Corolla hot hatch. Developed and signed off at the Nürburgring, it will be built in a limited run: orders open in autumn 2026, with deliveries following in 2027.
More torque, manual only
The GRMN uses the same G16E-GTS 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder as the GR Corolla, here tuned to 304 hp and 415 Nm - 15 Nm more torque than standard. An intercooler with water injection helps keep intake temperatures down. There is one transmission only: a six-speed manual, sending drive to all four wheels through Toyota’s GR-FOUR system.
Lighter, with adjustable dampers
Built on the GA-C (TNGA) platform, the GRMN weighs 1,450 kg - around 30 kg less than a manual GR Corolla. It runs adjustable single-tube dampers and wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, now 245/40 R18 (10 mm wider than before), with retuned drivetrain and steering.
Carbon aero
A carbon-fibre body kit brings a bonnet vent, louvres in the front wings to vent pressure, and an adjustable, high-mounted rear wing.
Interior
Japanese cars get deeply bolstered bucket seats, while US cars receive sport seats. The rear bench is removed entirely to save weight. The dashboard carries “Morizo” embroidery - the racing alias of Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda.
Pricing has not been announced.
