The Aion V is a compact electric SUV from GAC’s Aion brand, measuring 4,580 mm long on a 2,775 mm wheelbase. It competes in China’s crowded compact-SUV EV segment and is also exported to markets including Australia and Europe under the unchanged Aion V name.
The lineup runs two mechanical tiers, both with a single front-mounted motor and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery. The 520 trim pairs a 150 kW (201 hp) motor with a 62.7 kWh pack for 520 km of CLTC range, while the 650 trim raises output to 165 kW (221 hp) and fits a 75.3 kWh pack for 650 km of CLTC range and a 7.9-second 0 to 100 km/h time. DC fast charging takes the battery from 30 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes.
Export versions sold in Australia and Europe use a single specification close to the 650 trim, rated at 510 km on the stricter WLTP cycle, with an 8-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty backing the electric drivetrain.
Pricing in China starts from ¥101,800 for the entry 520 Intelligent Premium and rises to ¥133,800 for the range-topping 650 Unbridled trim.
