The Stelato G9 is a large SUV from the BAIC and Huawei HIMA joint brand, featuring a deliberate angular design reminiscent of body-on-frame off-roaders. The EREV variant uses a 1.5L turbo generator with two electric motors for 594 hp, a 75.4 kWh battery, and 400+ km of electric-only CLTC range. China sales expected before end of 2026; prices not announced.
Stelato
Chinese SUV brand jointly developed by Huawei and BAIC within the HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance). All models run Huawei's HarmonyOS cockpit and ADS driver-assistance system. First model: S9 luxury sedan/wagon. Second model: G9 SUV, announced 2026.
Stelato is a partnership between BAIC Group and Huawei, operating inside the HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) - the same framework that includes Aito (Seres), Luxeed (Chery), and Maextro (BAIC’s separate sedan brand). BAIC handles manufacturing while Huawei contributes the HarmonyOS Cockpit, the ADS advanced driver-assistance system with roof-mounted LiDAR, and the DriveONE powertrain system.
The first model was the S9, a full-size luxury sedan and wagon. The second is the G9, a large body-on-frame-style SUV announced in 2026 with a deliberately angular, off-road-oriented design. Both EREV and BEV powertrains are planned for the G9. Sales in China are expected before the end of 2026.
