The Abarth 500e is the electric version of the brand’s smallest car, a reworked Fiat 500e sold as a hot hatch and as a Cabrio with a folding fabric roof. It is built at Mirafiori in Turin alongside the Fiat, and measures 3,673 mm long, 1,683 mm wide and 1,518 mm tall on a 2,322 mm wheelbase, weighing about 1,410 kg.
A single front motor produces 114 kW, which Abarth quotes as 155 PS (153 hp), with 235 Nm of torque. That is good for 0-100 km/h in 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 155 km/h (96 mph), and it drives the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. The 42 kWh battery holds 37.3 kWh usable and is rated at 164 miles (264 km) of WLTP range in the hatchback, dropping to around 250 km in the heavier Cabrio. DC charging peaks at 85 kW.
Inside, the 500e carries a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Abarth’s Performance Pages telemetry, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a JBL audio system as standard in the UK. The Turismo trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, Alcantara dashboard trim, heated front seats, wireless phone charging and a 360-degree camera. Outside, the car gets its own bumpers, a rear diffuser and scorpion badging in place of the Fiat’s chrome.
UK list prices are GBP 27,995 (~$38,300) for the hatchback and GBP 30,995 (~$42,500) for the Cabrio, both cut from the launch tariff of GBP 34,195 (~$46,800) and GBP 37,195 (~$51,000). Since July 2026 the car has qualified for the full GBP 3,750 (~$5,100) Electric Car Grant, taking the hatchback to GBP 24,245 (~$33,200). Abarth fits a sound generator that plays a synthesised engine note through an external speaker, which can be turned off.
