Overview

The 07L is Avatr’s five-seat electric SUV, launched in China on 8 August 2026 in three trims at ¥229,900, ¥249,900 and ¥279,900, with limited-time pricing of ¥219,900, ¥239,900 and ¥269,900 (from about $32,380) running as a launch promotion rather than the standing price.

An 89.33 kWh CATL Shenxing pack carries the car up to a claimed 725 km on China’s CLTC cycle - a figure measured at lower average speeds than WLTP or EPA testing, so it will not translate directly into a Western range rating. Every trim gets Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system as standard, a step up from the ADS 4 fitted to Avatr’s earlier cars, fed by a roof-mounted lidar with 896 channels that Avatr says can resolve an object 14 cm across at 120 m - a higher channel count than most production lidar units, which translates to a denser point cloud and finer detail at range.

The 07L extends Avatr’s model line beyond the 11 and 12, aiming at the wave of five-seat family SUVs from Chinese brands competing on range, price and driver-assistance hardware rather than styling alone. Avatr is a joint venture between Changan, battery maker CATL and Huawei, which supplies the car’s driving and cockpit software.
