The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a subcompact SUV that returned to Chevrolet’s US lineup for the 2021 model year and received a mid-cycle refresh for 2024 with a revised front end and an 11-inch touchscreen. It shares GM’s VSS-F small-vehicle architecture with the Chevrolet Trax, and like the Trax, every Trailblazer comes out of GM Korea’s Bupyeong plant in Incheon - one of the clearer examples of how much of Chevrolet’s US crossover lineup is built in South Korea rather than North America.
The LS and LT trims run a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine making 137 hp and 220 Nm of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive only. The RS and Activ trims step up to a turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder making 155 hp and 236 Nm, paired with a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available across every trim, but only with the larger 1.3-liter engine.
Inside, the 2026 Trailblazer carries an 11-inch central touchscreen and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster across the range, a significant jump from the 7- or 8-inch displays of the pre-2024 model. The RS and Activ trims split on styling rather than mechanicals: the RS wears blacked-out exterior trim and larger wheels for a sportier look, while the Activ adds cladding, a taller ride height and all-terrain tires for a more rugged stance.
US pricing for 2026 starts at $23,300 for the front-wheel-drive LS, rising to $24,500 for the LT, $27,900 for the RS or Activ, and $29,500 for either with all-wheel drive.
