Lucid Air platform and positioning
The Lucid Air is the four-door sedan that began Lucid’s production run in September 2021, and Lucid assembles it at its Casa Grande plant in Arizona. It is 4,975 mm long on a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Lucid sells it in four trims, all listed as 2027 models: the rear-drive Pure, the all-wheel-drive Touring and Grand Touring, and the Sapphire performance model.
Lucid Air range and charging
The EPA’s 2026 ratings and Lucid’s own 2027 projections agree: 420 miles (676 km) for the Pure, 431 miles (694 km) for the Touring, 512 miles (824 km) for the Grand Touring and 427 miles (687 km) for the Sapphire, all with the standard wheels. The Pure’s rating is 146 MPGe, or 23 kWh per 100 miles, and the Grand Touring’s is 128 MPGe, or 26 kWh per 100 miles. DC fast charging peaks at 250 kW on the Pure and Touring and 300 kW on the Grand Touring and Sapphire, and the onboard AC charger is 19.2 kW. Lucid’s spec page gives battery size in modules, not kWh, so the spec table leaves capacity out.
Lucid says the Grand Touring recovers 200 miles of range in 12 minutes on a 350 kW charger with 19-inch wheels, and the Pure and Touring take 16 minutes. Lucid’s example route is Silicon Valley to San Diego, 410 miles. The Lucid Connected Home Charging Station adds up to 80 miles of range per hour.
Inside the Lucid Air

Lucid lists a 10.0 cu ft frunk and a 22.1 cu ft trunk, 74.8 cu ft of total cargo space with the rear seats down, and a 4-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty with an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.
