The fourth-generation Rogue is Nissan’s compact SUV for the US, and it arrives first as the 2027 Rogue Hybrid, with a new body and interior. The petrol Rogue continues for 2027 as a carryover of the previous generation, and the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid, a version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, stays on sale alongside it. The first Rogue Hybrids are shipped from Japan, and production moves to Nissan’s Smyrna plant in Tennessee, which builds the third-generation Rogue, in 2027.

The Rogue Hybrid is the first Nissan in the US with e-POWER, here in its third generation. Unlike a conventional hybrid, the petrol engine never drives the wheels: a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder of 148 hp works only as a generator, charging a 1.67 kWh battery. Two electric motors do the driving, a 202 hp unit at the front and a 134 hp unit at the rear, so all-wheel drive is standard and there is no gearbox. System output is 225 hp.
