Renault Clio platform and positioning
The Renault Clio is the brand’s supermini, now in its sixth generation. It grows to 4.12 m long from 4.05 m on the outgoing car, and Renault sells it in three trim levels: Evolution, Techno and Esprit Alpine. Renault first showed the car on the sidelines of the Munich motor show on 8 September 2025.
Renault Clio powertrain
Three engines cover the range, and diesel is gone. The TCe 115 is a 1.2-litre petrol with 115 PS (113 hp) and 190 Nm, available with a manual or an EDC automatic; Renault quotes 0-100 km/h in 10.1 seconds for the EDC. The full hybrid E-Tech 160 pairs a 1.8-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery for 160 PS (158 hp). Renault says it adds 15 PS and 22 Nm over the previous hybrid and cuts a second from 0-100 km/h, to 8.3 seconds. The third engine, the Eco-G 120, runs on petrol or LPG, and Renault quotes 6.5 l/100 km on LPG with up to 1,450 km of combined range.
Renault Clio price and trims
Evolution carries adaptive cruise control, a 10.1-inch central screen and an automatic parking brake. Techno adds the OpenR Link system with Google built in. In France the range opens at 19,900 euros for the TCe 115 Evolution and 24,600 euros for the full hybrid.
