The Peugeot E-208 GTi is the production version of the electric hot hatch Peugeot previewed as a concept in 2025 - and the official photographs show the production car is visually identical to it. A full technical presentation is due in a few days; the figures below come from the concept.
Platform and chassis. The E-208 GTi uses Stellantis’s eCMP platform. It measures 4,055 mm long, 1,745 mm wide and 1,430 mm tall on a 2,540 mm wheelbase. The ride height is lowered by 30 mm, the front track widened by 56 mm and the rear by 27 mm - the hardware changes that separate a GTi from a standard e-208.
Powertrain. A single front-axle motor produces 280 hp and 345 Nm - the same unit used in the Abarth 600e, Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce and Lancia Ypsilon HF. A 54 kWh battery gives a claimed 350 km of WLTP range. Peugeot quotes 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a 180 km/h top speed.
Design. Red accents run through the headlights, grille, badges, wheel arches, spoiler and GTi lettering. The front splitter is body-coloured, the wheels are aerodynamically styled, and the brake calipers are red. Inside, the seats and steering wheel get red stitching, with a 208 GTi emblem on the wheel.
Pricing has not been announced. The standard e-208 starts at €31,650 in Germany.
