The Zeekr 001 is the car that introduced Geely’s premium electric brand to Europe, arriving in Sweden and the Netherlands at the end of 2023 and reaching Germany in January 2026. Zeekr calls it a shooting brake, and the proportions bear that out: 4,955 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,560 mm tall on a 2,999 mm wheelbase, with a roofline that runs flat to the tailgate rather than tapering into a fastback. It sits on SEA, the electric platform Geely developed for the group and which also underpins cars from Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co.
Every European 001 carries the same 100 kWh battery, of which 94 kWh is usable, using NMC811 cells. The Long Range RWD puts 200 kW, or 272 PS (268 hp), through the rear axle for 620 km of WLTP range and 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. Both twin-motor versions produce 400 kW (544 PS, 536 hp) and 686 Nm and cut the sprint to 3.8 seconds, with the Performance AWD rated at 594 km and the Privilege AWD, which rides on larger wheels, at 585 km. Top speed is limited to 200 km/h throughout.
Charging is where the European car shows its age against newer Zeekrs. The 001 runs a 400-volt system with a 200 kW DC peak, so 10 to 80% takes around 30 minutes, while the 7X launched alongside it uses 800 volts and does the same job in less than half the time. The 001 compensates with 22 kW AC charging, which matters more in countries where destination charging is common. Boot space is 539 litres, rising to 2,144 litres with the rear bench down.
Inside, the 001 uses a portrait centre touchscreen with a separate driver display and a head-up display, and Yamaha supplies the audio, with either eight or twelve speakers depending on trim. Wheels run from 21 to 22 inches. German prices open at EUR 59,990 for the Long Range RWD, and Zeekr sells through its own stores rather than a franchised dealer network, in around 13 European countries as of 2026.
