GermanyBMW is preparing its biggest lineup update in years, officially promising more than 40 launches across every market segment. Their common thread is Neue Klasse design and technology, moving from electric models to petrol, diesel, and hybrid cars.
The first items on the program are already public: the electric iX3 and i3, an updated 7 Series, and the new X5 and iX5. By the end of 2026, BMW expects a new-generation, combustion-only 3 Series and its first electric iX4, while the petrol X4 will not get a successor.
In 2027, BMW will launch its first electric M model built on Neue Klasse and debut BMW Alpina based on the 7 Series. Also expected are the new X7 and iX7, an i3 Touring wagon, updated 5 Series and M5, a facelifted X1, and a new-generation iX1.
BMW has not disclosed its full list. Some models are confirmed by the company, while others are based on prototypes and source reports. The Z4 and 8 Series have already been discontinued, and the future of the XM and an iX successor remains unclear.
