BMW has revealed the iX4, an electric SUV coupe and the next Neue Klasse model after the iX3 and the i3 sedan. It was among the more than 40 launches through 2027 reported in July. Orders opened in France on 8 October, and European sales start in March 2027 (6 March in France).

Europe gets two versions at launch, the 40 xDrive and the 50 xDrive. The US starts with the 50 xDrive alone.

French prices are for M Sport trim; M Sport Pro adds 2,700 euros. The US price excludes a $1,495 destination fee. The M60 xDrive can be ordered in Europe from January 2027 and reaches the US later in 2027.

Each version has two motors. The 50 xDrive charges at up to 400 kW DC, and BMW has not given the M60’s battery capacity.
The US release rates the 50 xDrive at a preliminary 428 miles (689 km), an estimate based on EPA test procedures, and lists its usable battery at 112.2 kWh against 108.7 kWh in BMW’s European figures. BMW has not explained the gap.
Built on the iX3
The roof sits 40 mm lower than the iX3’s, at 1,595 mm. Underneath, the two share a wheelbase and an assembly line at BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary.
The cabin is the iX3’s as well: Panoramic Vision across the base of the windscreen and a 17.9-inch central screen.
