Luxeed launched the RX in China on 28 September 2026, five weeks after pre-orders opened on 20 August. The coupe SUV is a battery-electric Luxeed, unlike the extended-range V9 MPV, and it sells in six trims from 259,800 yuan (~$38,600) to 389,800 yuan (~$57,900). Luxeed is the brand Chery runs with Huawei, which supplies the chassis platform and the ADS 5 driver-assistance system.
Six trims, two batteries
The first four trims are rear-drive with a 277 kW motor, 5.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, and they differ in battery and equipment. The last two add a 160 kW front motor for 437 kW and cut the time to 3.6 seconds.

The Ultra AWD is rated 99 km below the Ultra Long Range on the same 100 kWh battery, and it weighs 150 kg more, at 2,400 kg against 2,250 kg. The system works at 800 volts, and Luxeed quotes 30 to 80% in about 15 minutes.
What separates Max from Ultra
The Ultra trims carry four lidars, an 896-line dual-aperture unit and three solid-state ones, while the Max trims have one. Dual-chamber air suspension is standard from Ultra up and optional on the Max. The Max trims stand 1,600 mm tall, 15 mm taller than the others.
Luxeed also offers limited-time benefits worth up to 40,500 yuan (~$6,000), so the price paid can be below the list figures above.
The cabin has an 8.88-inch driver display, a 16.1-inch swivelling central screen and a further 8.88-inch screen for the front passenger, plus a 26-inch augmented-reality head-up display. The RX is a five-seater, 5,020 mm long on a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Luxeed has not said when deliveries begin.
