The Luxeed RX is a five-seat coupe SUV, 5,020 mm long, 2,007 mm wide and 1,585 mm tall on a 3,000 mm wheelbase. It is a Luxeed, the brand Chery runs with Huawei under the HIMA alliance, and it goes on sale in China as the Zhijie RX. It is battery-electric, which sets it apart from the brand’s V9 MPV, and it is built on Huawei’s Tuling chassis platform. Sales opened on 28 September 2026 after pre-orders began on 20 August.
RX powertrain and range
Every car has a 277 kW motor on the rear axle, which is 371 hp, and the two top trims add a 160 kW front motor for 437 kW, or 594 PS (586 hp). The rear-drive cars reach 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and the all-wheel-drive pair in 3.6 seconds, and the fastest version tops out at 251 km/h. Two batteries are offered: 81 kWh, which Luxeed reports as lithium iron phosphate, and 100 kWh ternary lithium. CLTC range runs from 672 km on the 81 kWh Max to 852 km on the 100 kWh Ultra Long Range. The system works at 800 volts and Luxeed quotes 30 to 80% in about 15 minutes.
Inside the RX
A 16.1-inch central screen swivels toward the driver, with an 8.88-inch driver display and an 8.88-inch screen for the front passenger, and a 26-inch augmented-reality head-up display projects onto the windscreen. The seats wrap around the occupant and use 98 pressure sensors and 27 air bladders to adjust. The Ultra trims fit dual-chamber air suspension as standard, an option on the Max.
RX driver assistance
The Ultra and Ultra+ carry four lidars, an 896-line dual-aperture unit plus three solid-state ones, among 38 sensors in total. Every RX runs Huawei’s ADS 5, and the Max trims have a single lidar. The body is rated at more than 50,000 Nm of torsional stiffness per degree.
RX price and trims
Six trims run from 259,800 yuan (~$38,600) to 389,800 yuan (~$57,900). The Max and Max Long Range sit at 259,800 and 289,800 yuan, the Ultra and Ultra Long Range at 319,800 and 349,800 yuan, and the all-wheel-drive Ultra AWD and Ultra+ at 369,800 and 389,800 yuan. The Max trims are 1,600 mm tall against 1,585 mm for the rest, and unladen weight is 2,250 to 2,400 kg depending on the version.
