Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 40,000 vehicles in September, its highest monthly total this year. The company has not published an exact figure, and it gave no split between the SU7 sedan, the YU7 SUV and the new SkyNomad range-extender SUVs. August was 30,153 and July 31,267, so September was about a third above August.
What changed in September
Until this month Xiaomi sold only battery-electric cars. The SkyNomad family, a pair of extended-range SUVs available in five-seat and seven-seat layouts, went on sale on 7 September from 209,900 yuan (~$31,200), and its first deliveries fall in the same month. Xiaomi said the range collected more than 10,000 locked-in orders within four minutes of the launch. Those are orders, not deliveries, and the SkyNomad is the main reason the month stands out from the previous two.
The fourth quarter has to be much bigger
Xiaomi has delivered at least 286,475 cars so far in 2026, about 52% of its 550,000 target for the year. Reaching it needs roughly 263,500 more in October, November and December, an average of about 87,800 a month. Because September’s exact figure is not known, that is an upper bound. That is more than double the 40,000 minimum reported for September. The SkyNomad order book is the main new volume Xiaomi has to convert into deliveries to get anywhere near that rate.
