Mladá Boleslav, in Central Bohemia, is Škoda’s main plant and the place the company started. Václav Laurin and Václav Klement began building bicycles there in 1895 and produced their first car in 1905. The plant passed 12 million vehicles in November 2015.
Today it builds the Elroq, the Enyaq and the Octavia on one flexible assembly line in Hall M13 that takes both battery-electric and combustion cars. Škoda moved part of Octavia production to its Kvasiny plant in 2024 to free up room for up to 600 Elroqs a day, and Elroq series production started at the beginning of 2025. The Enyaq line runs at up to 300 cars a day.
The plant also assembles the battery systems for the MEB-based Elroq and Enyaq, and it built its one millionth battery system in December 2024.
