The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is a compact electric hatchback for the European market, revealed during Milan Design Week 2026 as Hyundai Motor Europe’s newest addition to the Ioniq EV family. It measures 4,155 mm long and sits on Hyundai’s E-GMP-derived architecture, positioned as an “aero hatch” below the Ioniq 5 crossover. The car is due on sale in Europe during 2026 and is not planned for the US market.
Two battery options are offered. The Standard Range uses a 42.2 kWh pack for up to 343 km of WLTP range, while the Long Range steps up to a 61 kWh pack for up to 496 km. Both run on a 400-volt electrical architecture with fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. The Standard Range makes 107.8 kW (145 hp) and reaches 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds; the Long Range is rated at 99.5 kW (133 hp) and takes 9.6 seconds. Both make 250 Nm and reach 170 km/h.
Inside, the Ioniq 3 offers a choice of 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch displays and a 441-litre boot, aimed at everyday practicality rather than outright range or performance.
Britain was the first market with confirmed pricing, announced in August 2026. The range opens at £22,245 (~$30,500) on the road for the 42.2 kWh Advance and runs to £31,945 (~$43,800) for the N Line Evo, with the 61 kWh Advance at £25,745 (~$35,300), the Premium at £27,445 (~$37,600) and the Ultimate at £29,945 (~$41,000). The UK range figures Hyundai quotes with those prices, from 213 miles (343 km) to 308 miles (496 km), are pending final homologation. Pricing for other European markets has not been announced.
