The Pixo takes Nissan back into Europe’s A-segment, the smallest class of city car, and sits below the electric Micra in its range. It rides on Renault Group’s RG-EV small platform, shared with the Renault Twingo E-Tech and the second-generation Dacia Spring, and Renault builds it alongside both at Novo Mesto in Slovenia. The body is Nissan’s own design, with pixel-pattern lighting at both ends, and at 1,790 mm it is 7 cm wider than the Twingo.
A single 60 kW (82 PS) motor drives the front wheels with 175 Nm of torque. The battery is a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack, rated at up to 259 km on the WLTP cycle. DC charging runs at up to 50 kW, covering 15 to 80 percent in about 28 minutes. The 11 kW AC charger is standard and bidirectional, so the car can also send power back out.
The Pixo is 3,796 mm long on a 2,492 mm wheelbase, turns in 9.9 m and seats four, with rear seats that adjust individually. It has a 10-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch driver display, running Google built-in with the Gemini assistant, plus the MyNissan app. Nissan lists adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, automated parking and its e-Pedal one-pedal driving.
