The e.MAS 7 is a five-seat electric SUV and the car that launched Proton’s e.MAS sub-brand in December 2024. All three trims share the same 215 hp, 320 Nm front motor and single-ratio automatic; what changes between them is battery size. The Prime carries a 49.52 kWh pack for 345 km WLTP, priced from RM103,800 (about $25,400). The Premium’s 60.22 kWh battery reaches 410 km for RM119,800, and the Premium Plus tops out at a 68.39 kWh pack good for 450 km, from RM125,800 (about $30,800) and rated for 115 kW DC fast charging.
Boot space is 461 litres across the range. The e.MAS 7 is built on a Geely-developed platform and assembled in Malaysia rather than imported complete, part of Proton’s push to build its electrified cars domestically.
It was Proton’s first e.MAS model and remains the brand’s second-best-selling EV behind the smaller e.MAS 5, with more than 12,000 units registered in Malaysia in the first seven months of 2026.
