The Skoda Kushaq is a compact SUV developed for the Indian market on the localised MQB-A0-IN platform, sharing its underpinnings with the Volkswagen Taigun. It measures 4,225 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,612 mm tall on a 2,651 mm wheelbase, with 385 litres of boot space and 155 mm of ground clearance, and it launched in India in 2021 before receiving a facelift in 2026.
Two turbo-petrol engines are offered. The entry unit is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder producing 115 hp and 178 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or, on the updated range, an 8-speed torque-converter automatic across every trim except the top Monte Carlo manual. The larger 1.5-litre four-cylinder makes 150 hp and 250 Nm, mated exclusively to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and reserved for the Prestige and Monte Carlo trims.
The 2026 facelift brings a revised front end with the brand’s split-headlamp look, along with a larger touchscreen and updated interior trim across the five-variant lineup: Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo.
Ex-showroom pricing in India starts at Rs 10.69 lakh (~$11,200) for the base Classic Plus 1.0 TSI manual and rises to Rs 18.99 lakh (~$19,800) for the range-topping Monte Carlo with the 1.5 TSI DCT.
