Hyundai has opened European orders for the Staria Electric, the first fully electric version of its large van-based MPV. German pricing, VAT included, opens at EUR 57,450 for the entry Trend and rises to EUR 66,950 for the range-topping Calligraphy.

Seating by trim

The Trend and Prime both carry nine seats across three rows. The Calligraphy trades two of them for individual second-row comfort seats and seats seven. All three trims share the same motor, battery and 430 km WLTP range figure - the difference between them is seating and equipment, not powertrain.

Specifications

The Staria Electric shares its 84 kWh battery with the Ioniq 5, mounted in the same flat-floor layout, and produces 218 PS (215 hp) from a single front motor. Hyundai’s 800-volt architecture takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes on a DC charger. Hyundai builds it at the Ulsan plant in South Korea, alongside the rest of the Staria range.

The Electric is not the first electrified Staria in Europe. A hybrid version replaced the previous diesel engine there for the 2026 model year, and the Electric now joins it as the range’s zero-emission option.

Kia’s smaller PV5 van, also built in South Korea, has already passed 39,000 units sold worldwide through August 2026 - the Staria Electric now gives Hyundai Motor Group’s two Korean brands an electric van at both ends of the size range.
