Overview

The Hyundai Staria Electric is the battery-electric version of Hyundai’s boxy, van-based MPV, and the first fully electric model in the Staria range. Hyundai opened European orders in September 2026, pricing it in Germany from EUR 57,450 for the entry Trend trim, all figures VAT-included.

The Electric shares its 84 kWh battery with the Ioniq 5, mounted under a flat floor that keeps the cabin free of intrusions. A single front-mounted motor produces 218 PS (215 hp) and 350 Nm, and the van’s 800-volt architecture supports DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes. WLTP-rated range is 430 km, unchanged across trims. An 11 kW onboard charger covers home AC charging, and a 230V vehicle-to-load socket lets the van power external equipment.

Seating is the trim ladder’s main variable rather than the powertrain. Trend and Prime both seat nine across three rows for EUR 57,450 and EUR 63,650 respectively; the range-topping Calligraphy, from EUR 66,950, drops to seven seats in exchange for individual second-row comfort seats. All three share the same motor, battery and range figures. The Staria Electric measures 5,255 mm long on a 3,275 mm wheelbase.

Hyundai builds the Staria Electric alongside the rest of the Staria range at its Ulsan plant in South Korea. It is not the first electrified Staria in Europe: a hybrid version replaced the previous diesel engine there for the 2026 model year, and the Electric now sits alongside it as the range’s zero-emission option. Petrol and diesel versions of the Staria remain on sale in Korea and other markets outside Europe.
