The eighth-generation Hyundai Elantra (sold as the Avante in South Korea) debuted at the 2026 Busan Motor Show with a sharply angular "Art of Steel" redesign. The compact sedan grows in every dimension and is offered with a 149 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre hybrid rated at a combined 157 hp, both front-wheel drive. Korean sales open in Q3 2026.

Engines are 1.0-litre petrol, with a naturally aspirated unit (75-80 hp) or a 115 hp T-GDI turbo, front-wheel drive only. Prices in Brazil run from 99,990 reais.
