The Geely Xingyuan is a subcompact electric hatchback built for high-volume, budget-focused buyers. It measures 4,135 mm long with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, placing it in the B-segment alongside other small city EVs. Geely launched it in China in September 2024, and by 2025 it had become one of the country’s best-selling cars of any type.
Two powertrains are offered, both driving the rear wheels. The entry version pairs a 78 hp motor with a 30 kWh CATL lithium-iron-phosphate battery for 310 km of CLTC range and a 125 km/h top speed. The higher version steps up to 114 hp and a 41 kWh battery, lifting CLTC range to 410 km and top speed to 135 km/h. Both use an integrated 11-in-1 electric drive unit to keep cost and packaging tight.
Inside, the Xingyuan centres on a 14.6-inch touchscreen running Geely’s Flyme Auto operating system, with six airbags and an L2 driver-assistance suite included. The cabin prioritises usable space over outright width, a typical trade-off for the class.
Pricing starts from ¥59,800, which is what underpins its sales volume. The car is also exported under the Geely EX2 badge, broadening its reach beyond the domestic market.
