iCAUR V27 positioning and size
The iCAUR V27 is the largest SUV in Chery’s iCAUR lineup and its first range-extender. It is a five-seat, boxy SUV with round headlights, a rear-mounted spare wheel and 265/45 R21 all-terrain tyres on the AWD trims. It measures 4,909 mm long (5,055 mm counting the spare wheel), 1,976 mm wide and 1,894 mm tall, on a 2,910 mm wheelbase. It went on sale in China on 13 March 2026, and the brand sells it abroad as iCAUR.
Battery, range and charging
The V27 uses a range-extender layout: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, rated at 115 kW, charges the battery and never drives the wheels directly. The original trims carry a 34.3 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, good for 210 km of CLTC electric range in rear-wheel drive and 200 km with all-wheel drive. The Long Range versions, launched on 30 September 2026, raise the battery to 51.2 kWh and the electric range to 300 km CLTC. CLTC is China’s test cycle and reads more generously than WLTP, so real-world figures will be lower.
Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes 17 minutes on both battery sizes, according to CarNewsChina. The car can also power outside appliances at 6 kW.
Power and drivetrain
The rear-drive version has a single 185 kW motor (about 248 hp). The all-wheel-drive versions add a front motor for a combined 335 kW (about 449 hp), and the original AWD trims reach 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
Trims and prices in China
The original range is priced at 169,800 yuan (~$25,200) for the Falcon 500 rear-drive, 182,800 yuan (~$27,200) for the Falcon 500 all-wheel-drive and 196,800 yuan (~$29,200) for the Falcon 700. The two Long Range versions, both all-wheel drive, cost 189,800 yuan (~$28,200) (Falcon 500) and 203,800 yuan (~$30,300) (Falcon 700). Prices are as of 30 September 2026. Falcon 500 and Falcon 700 differ in driver assistance: the 700 adds roof lidar and a more powerful Horizon Journey 6P chip.
