UK: the Jaecoo 7 finishes second
The Jaecoo 7 was the UK’s second best-selling car in August with 2,022 registrations, according to SMMT figures, behind only the Ford Puma on 2,795.
The Xpeng G6 stays ahead of the BMW iX3 in Denmark
In Norway, the BYD Atto 3 Evo ranked 6th among all models with 393 registrations, part of a record month for electric car sales covered in our Norway EV share roundup. In Denmark, the Xpeng G6 slipped to 9th place with 342 registrations after two months in the top five, finishing just ahead of the BMW iX3 in 10th on 334.
BYD takes 6th place in Austria
BYD registered 5,256 cars in Germany in August, a 2.5% share and a 371.8% year-on-year increase, per KBA data. In France, BYD remained the top-selling Chinese brand with 2,145 registrations, up 64.1% on the year. In Austria, BYD reached 6th place among all brands on a 4.3% share - its best monthly result since entering the market - and 3rd among volume brands (those excluding premium marques), behind only Volkswagen and Skoda.
Spain: the MG ZS leads a second month
In Spain, the MG ZS was the country’s best-selling car overall for a second consecutive month, ahead of the Dacia Sandero. In Italy, the Leapmotor T03 ranked 3rd among all battery-electric models and was the most-bought EV among private buyers, according to Stellantis, which now distributes Leapmotor in the country.
