About

Škoda Auto is headquartered in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, and has been a wholly owned Volkswagen Group subsidiary since 1991. The brand’s formula - Volkswagen-platform engineering priced below the parent - has made it a volume leader in Germany, Eastern Europe, and the UK.

The electric range is built on MEB and MEB+. The Enyaq was the first dedicated EV; the Elroq and the smaller Epiq crossover followed on MEB+. The Epiq, starting from €32,100 in Germany, is Škoda’s first entry into the volume B-segment electric market. The Epiq 35 and 40 use LFP batteries, which tolerate daily 100% charging without the degradation concerns associated with NMC.
