The Mona L03 is the second model from Mona, Xpeng’s value-focused sub-brand, and its first coupe-styled crossover. It is set to launch in China on 2 July 2026 and slots a step above the Mona M03 liftback as a more affordable electrified SUV. Measuring 4650 mm long, 1920 mm wide and 1600 mm tall on a 2850 mm wheelbase, it is a compact crossover, weighing between 1855 and 1942 kg depending on version.
Two electrified powertrains are offered, both front-wheel drive with the same 249 hp electric motor; there is no all-wheel-drive option. The battery-electric (BEV) version uses a 56 or 69 kWh battery, with the larger pack quoted at up to 650 km of range on preliminary figures. The range-extender (EREV) pairs a 37.2 kWh battery with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine rated at 95 hp that runs purely as a generator, charging the battery rather than driving the wheels.
The styling is clean and aerodynamic: a smooth nose with T-shaped front lighting, active air flaps in the bumper, a single full-width tail light bar, a panoramic glass roof and frameless doors with semi-hidden handles, in place of the pop-out handles used on the M03. Inside, the L03 takes a minimalist approach, with a large central touchscreen and a head-up display standing in for a traditional instrument cluster, though promotional footage of higher trims shows a small driver display as well.
Xpeng will confirm prices at the 2 July launch. On preliminary information the L03 is expected to start around 150,000 yuan (about $22,000), positioning it above the cheaper M03 within the Mona range.
